Annette Chew, MFT, BCBA, LBA
CEO & Founder

Annette Chew holds the distinction of being the first professional in Hawaii to earn dual licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Born and raised on the island of Oʻahu, Annette has devoted her career to empowering and strengthening the families she has been privileged to serve. With over 15 years of experience, she has worked extensively with children and adults with Autism and developmental disabilities, as well as in the prevention and intervention of family violence.

Early in her career, Annette recognized the need for therapeutic services in Hawaii that effectively integrate behavior analytic and family-centered approaches. She saw an opportunity to provide a more holistic method of supporting local families, one that honored their unique cultural and individual needs. As a proud Native Hawaiian, she has made it her mission to bridge this gap and create meaningful, lasting change.

In 2017, Annette founded the Behavior Analysis and Family Therapy Center of Hawaii. This center represents her commitment to delivering high-quality, culturally responsive support services to families across the state of Hawaiʻi.
